Why Becoming Reiki Energy Healing Certified is Important in the Year of the Fire Horse (2026)
We are inching closer to our Reiki Certification weekend, and I hope my posts in this series brought some excitement around the incredible topics we will be covering in the unique Modern Energy Wellness version of this energy healing training!
You might be wondering how these skills and tools will come in handy (aside from the more obvious healing reasons I shared in my very post in this series). And I've been sitting with this deeply since the beginning of the Lunar New Year. Let me explain...
According to Chinese Astrology, we've just entered the year of the Fire Horse. Without going too far into Chinese Astrology (there are many, many books or videos you can watch if you want to learn all about it!), I want to share what that means for us in an energetic sense.
When you think of a horse, you might think of things like speed and momentum, or a wild and carefree nature. When you think of fire, you're probably thinking of hot, intense, quick-spreading, While many folks online have been talking about how this year is going to bring us a lot of these qualities to move things forward in our lives, we have to also be aware of what that energy can feel like if we are not bringing deep presence, alignment, and energy hygiene into our daily routines.
Horses are also fiercely powerful; they buck, they can get out of control. With this energy running the undercurrent for our next year, it's our job to make sure that we are supporting ourselves to guide it effectively in our own lives.
Here's what that means:
We have to build strong, steady, and nurturing foundations for our nervous systems and environments
We have to get super intentional about how we use, cultivate, and work with our energy system
We have to pay more attention to how people, items, spaces, and media affect our energy
We have to use practices daily to help us anchor into our own inner truth and wellbeing
We know that collectively we are in an intense time right now, and this next year will be an opportunity for us to remain connected to that part of ourselves that is grounded, clear, in purpose, and resourced.
Reiki energy healing and the tools we are learning about help you to do just that each and every day. It is a skiil set you will use for the rest of your life, even as our world continues to shift and new challenges arise. It connects you deeply to the love, joy, healing, beauty, and support that is all around us always. And I am so excited to share it with you very soon.
