What We Added to Our Reiki Training That Most Certifications Skip
Now that you know a bit more about what the experience is like receiving energy healing from the last post in this series, I want to share more about the actual Certification Training process I've created through Modern Energy Wellness (including what I decided to add that isn't traditionally taught!).
My traditional Reiki Training + Certification path completely changed my life. In Reiki I + II Certification Training, you learn:
The nature and history of Reiki energy + the Reiki symbols
About the attunement process you receiving in training and what it does
How to use Reiki energy healing in-person and via distance
Self- healing methods
Energy healing methods to use with others in a group setting or 1:1
I am incredibly proud of my Reiki training lineage. If you're anything like me, it's always been important to find teachers and trainers who resonate deeply with me.
When I first met my Master Teacher Trainer who I've learned the most from, there were so many ways that we connected when it came to our journeys with healing that made the experience so much sweeter for me. While I didn't meet her until quite a few years into my practice, she came at the perfect time for me and left me with encouragement to tailor my own teachings when it came time for me to pass Reiki on.
But I've also had other energy healing trainings in the past that, well, left me wanting MORE. I left feeling constricted by the teachings and confused about certain ways I was evolving alongside these new tools.
So I knew that when it came time for me to pass on this incredible modality to others, I was going to add my own teachings alongside the traditional materials. Things like...
Information about intuition, the claires, and how this will evolve with Reiki attunement and practice
Deeper teaching on the chakras and the aura
Showcasing alternative ways to use energy healing (including meditation, food preparation, and more)
Other ways of channeling the energy that weren't specifically included in the traditional manual that I now use all the time
Training about how to protect/cleanse your own energy and how to open/close sessions
Practicing imbuing objects with energy and clearing energy from them
Additional pathways and teachings of energetics that may be sparked from the Reiki attunements that are worth researching
And more!
These were all topics and questions I wished had been covered in my Reiki I + II training that came up shortly after, and I just knew I had to include them. And while these might not stick exactly to the "traditional teachings" (which I, of course, do cover extensively), these expanded my own healing and my own ability to be able to utilize the modality to its fullest.
Now if you're wondering why you might want to know how to protect/cleanse your energy, use your intuitive gifts, or understand energetics deeper like this, keep an eye out for my next post here where I'm going to break down exactly what's going on energetically this year (the year of the Fire Horse) and why energetic intelligence is the way of the future... stay tuned for my next post here.
If learning how to channel and use energy healing is calling to you, I'd love for you to join us in our upcoming Reiki I + II Certification Training on March 21-22 in Beaverton, Oregon. You can find all the details and save your spot here.
